Christmas is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Christmas this year was a little bit different. Usually for Christmas whoever happens to be in Boise comes over to Shane and I's house to open presents and have dinner. This year Shane, the kids, and I woke up and had Christmas morning with just the four of us (well 4 1/2 since I have a bun in the oven). Once again, Shane and I (I mean Santa) went overboard with gifts for the kids. All though I don't think they thought we did because they are used to seeing our tree with everyone else's gifts under it as well.

In the afternoon we went over to my mother and fathers new house they bought in Start. This is the first time that I have had my Grandma, Papa, Mom, Dad and sister and brother together for Christmas in a very long time. And what made it even better is that we all had our spouses and kids with us as well. It was definitely an eventful evening. Mom and I brought some games to play so needless to say it got a little wild. My mom also put together a scavenger hunt in her house for the three grandkids. It was adorable!

Yes...that is a very creepy picture of my brother!

Easter

I sure wish the Easter Bunny would have brought nice weather this year so that the kids could look for eggs outside. The kids had a wonderful time looking for easter eggs this year. Unless I counted wrong, there is still one hiding out there somewhere. I am sure we will find it next year...

As you can see, the little bunny mask did not fit Aniston that well. When we finally stopped trying to make both eyes fit the holes, we moved it up to her forehead and she looked at us like we were crazy parents and needed to leave her alone. It was cute while it lasted though!

Spring is in the air...

Well not really! It is still freezing cold here but the kids and my mom planted flowers (fake ones) in their playhouse that they got from Santa Clause this year. They are very proud of them!

Aniston Dawn Kelly

Aniston Dawn Kelly was born at 9:59 am on March 23rd, 2011. She weighed 5lbs 12oz.

I was in complete shock that it was a girl. I was sure that I was pregnant with a boy almost the entire pregnancy. We are all so excited to have her join our family

This is Aniston getting ready to go home with her Boise State beanie on.

Here are Madisyn and Keagan meeting Aniston for the first time. Keagan was a little overwhelmed but he was a lot happier to have another sister once he got his nap.

One special thing about her delivery was that my mother got to be in the room during the cesarian section. It is the hospitals policy that they only let one person in during the surgery, which would be Shane. We bribed the Anesthesiologist with chocolate and he said it would be okay.

Don't Tell Mom

Today I walked into the kitchen and saw the kids cleaning something up. Knowing that this was not normal, I had to take the picture with out them knowing. As I am walking away to get the camera I heard Keagan say "Don't tell Mom". Little did they know that I was standing right behind them. I chuckled remembering me and my brothers saying those exact words many times growing up.

'Twas The Night Before Christmas'

I love this time of year. It is the best time to be a mom. This year on Christmas Eve we decided to keep the tradition of decorating ginger bread houses,

Put food out for Santa's Reindeer,

And then put out the cookies and milk for santa. The kids even recieved an email video from Santa Clause this year. I wish I could have gotten a picture of their eyes when they heard Santa say their names on the message.
