'Twas The Night Before Christmas'

I love this time of year. It is the best time to be a mom. This year on Christmas Eve we decided to keep the tradition of decorating ginger bread houses,

Put food out for Santa's Reindeer,

And then put out the cookies and milk for santa. The kids even recieved an email video from Santa Clause this year. I wish I could have gotten a picture of their eyes when they heard Santa say their names on the message.

Keagans 4th Birthday!

Gotta Love Chucke Cheeses! Well Keagan does anyway so that's where we went for his 4th birthday party. His birthday party was kept to pretty much family (and then the Navin's but they are like family to us).

As you can see from the picture of my sister on the horse, we had a wonderful time!

Boo!

The kids had a wonderful time for Halloween. I didn't get many pictures but here are a few:

Madisyn wanted to be a mermaid this year. You can't tell that she is a mermaid, but she still looks adorable. Keagan was hilarious in his skeleton costume. His litte knock knees were really apparent in the costume. Love those kids!

Madisyn's 5th Birthday

I can't believe our little girl is turning 5! Madisyn decided that she wanted a bowling party for her birthday. I ran around like a maniac as usual but everyone had a blast!

Shane looks pretty serious here...

Maddy chose to have a Princess cake. She is our little Princess so of course she deserved it!

Kids and their Sports!

This Summer the kids were finally old enought to get into some YMCA sports. In June they played T-Ball, in July they played Soccer, and in August they played Football. Here are some pictures from Soccer and T-ball.

I can't seem to find the pictures from football. When I do I will post them. Both of them did really well at football too! Yep even Maddy. She actually was the only girl and was the first one to stop a kid from making a touchdown when she was playing defence. All of the parents thought it was great!

In September and October Madisyn and Keagan took swimming lessons. They loved going to the pool twice a week and learning how to swim. They are too little to move onto the next class so we will take a little break from swimming over the winter and start again in a few months.

Annual Family Vacation with Shane's Family

So as of 2009 we started an annual family vacation with Shane's family. It is so much fun to get to gether with everyone and let all of the cousins see each other.

This year we went to Spokane and stayed with Shane's brother Ricky and his wife Tanya. Then we went on a beautiful camping trip in Northern Idaho. The camping trip was relaxing and tramatic all at the same time. We sat on the dock by our camp site and fished. I think everyone caught fish which was fun to watch.

Shane caught the biggest one which was a pike. It's probably still sitting in Ricky's freezer because no one wanted to eat it.

The last night of the camping trip there was a horrible storm that lightning and thundered all night long. In fact, when we woke up everything so soaking wet. We had puddles all over in our brand new tent and same with Ricky and Tanya's. Needless to say, we took the tent back to Costco to get our money back.

Everyone pitched in to shove soaking wet gear into our cars and we headed back to Spokane to get in a dry environment.

Monday was the last full day that we were going to be with Shane's family and we had planned on going to Silverwood Theme Park but it was still pouring outside so we went to the movie theatre and watched Toy Story 3 in 3D. It was fun!

Taking us back to the 60's...

The end of May my mom planned a 50th Anniversary Party for my Grandma and Papa. It was so much fun. There was family and friends from all over that came to celebrate with us. My cousin Blake (aka Shane's mistress), Merideth, and Anthony stayed with Shane and I. We loved having them at the house with us.

After a wonderful dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory, Everyone came to Shand and I's house to play beer pong. This was the first time playing beer pong for some of the people.

After beer pong, Shane, my cousins, my brother Jared and his wife Hannah were watching television when we came up with the bright idea of wearing clothes from the 60's at the Anniversary party since that is when Grandma and Papa got married. So the whole entire next day was spent at thrift stores finding outfits. It was fun!

Grandma and Papa loved that we took the time to go and find special clothes for their party. The party turned out AWESOME!

California Baby!!!

My cousin Merideth got married in May and asked me to be one of the bridesmaids. It was an honor to be her bridesmaid and it was so wonderful to take the kids and Shane to California to hang out with that side of my family.

The wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings I have every been too. Leave it to Merideth to "go big or go home." Congrats Merideth and Anthony. We are all so excited for you two!

Everyone got in the wedding spirit while we were there...

It's Been a Year

Wow! I cannot believe that it has been a full year since I last posted. So much has happened this past year I just don't think that I can catch up all in one post so I will break it all up and get everyone caught up.

Let's See, where to start...

Shane got a promotion! He worked really hard and waited patiently and last November his company told him that he made it into the Manager Apprentice Program. The entire family was so excited. The company he works for has just been so good to us through the years and can offer our family so much stability for the rest of our working years. He started that position in January 2010.

Unexpectedly, by April they told him he was promoted again to an Assistant Manager. Shane and I could not believe it was so quick. Another nice thing about it is that we didn't have to move to another area for the job. We are all so proud of Shane. He has worked so hard and continues to work very hard so that our family can live very comfortably.

Thanks Babe!

Puppies

Cute hu? Shane got a new dog. As him and his brother refer to as a "Man Dog". His name is Boston (which was on our list of names to name the baby if we have a boy. I guess we won't be naming our child that). He is really cute but I am not looking forward to training him. Shane's dog...Shane trains! We will see how that works out.
